I can hardly believe it's been 17 years since launching my first book - MICHAEL HUHN PHOTOS - editor (Walter Aubrey - London). Being just 23 then, the youngest photographer and author in the world to publish a male nude series in book form. I'm very proud of this title! Photography as a medium has chosen me to express my very own inner artistic sensibilities. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Richmond Hills, Queens, New York, lived in Greenwich Village and Los Angeles ,Palm Springs Califorina currently based in New York. I'm deeply grateful for my parent's raising me around such a colorful back drop. Especially mindful, was my dad's bar - Pete's Bar - and having had the opportunity to be introduced at such an early age to a real array of some of Queen's most eccentric characters. from funeral directors to drag queens, I have always believed it's not where you're from, it's where you're going and if you look back, you can really see how far you have gone.
Early on, I have recognized if you are a true artist, you learn to work with what you have. I may not have had a studio then, but what I did have was a burning desire and vision to become who I am today. I think all the creatures of the universe have many artistic talents beneath their layers of flesh. How one's talent is cultivated depends very much on trusting one's inner guides and allowing your creative vision to flow.
I remember standing on West 4th Street in Greenwich Village an entire summer selling my original early works to visiting tourists and local residences alike. I don't think it would have been possible early on to express myself without the sheer trust of the models that came before my lens. Too many to name but I thank each and everyone of them and you know who you are. A few of which have gone on to be our film stars of today! I've also gone on to do solo exhibitions publishing a best seller - PEEP SHOW - Janssen Verlag (Germany), magazine covers, editorials and art cards featuring some of my most celebrated images to date.

Mission and polices statement
As a former fashion model turned photographer, I
understand the process of getting the right pictures.
The most key elements in getting the right photos are technique honesty integrity communication sensitivity, and making you the client feel comfortable and relaxed in the process from the pre shoot discussion ,to the actual shoot its very important that we have a mutual understanding from the beginning ,this is so there is no misunderstanding I, have prepared below a guideline of my services.
Private Commission
A Private commission means anything that is shot of you usually a portrait or nudes but not limited. I usually shoot up to 144 shots digital and b/w film keep in mind my work is very thought out and a private commission is usually shot over a course of 2 ½ days. The reason I work this way is to provide a basis of our mutual artistic collaboration , of course it can be done in one day per your request. All images become your property. The Images will never be published or exhibited unless in agreement. Your basically hiring me to utilize my artistic expression based on international recognition,
And published work. 1 signed print per request will be included in this type of service. A private commission is a priceless investment in your self and in photographic art of the twenty first century.
Gallery order prints
All Original Michael Huhn prints published and non published are printed on the highest museum quality paper signed titled dated and numbered most editions are limited to 25. A few editions are limited to 1 print usually from a private commission. Since the website gallery displays a small fraction of the vast collection it houses . Potential collectors can reserve telephone appointment to view private images of interest.

All final aspects of the shoot are discussed ie location . Agreement is signed deposit is collected.
